Core Features
Social Accounts
Connect your social media profiles to 247BrandHQ and manage all your platforms from one place.
Why connect social accounts?
Connecting a social account grants 247BrandHQ permission to publish posts, read engagement metrics, and retrieve comments and messages on your behalf. Without at least one connected account, you cannot publish or schedule any content.
Each connected account is tied to a specific workspace. If you manage multiple brands or clients, each can have its own workspace with its own set of connected accounts.

How to connect a platform
Who can use this: Workspace Owner or Admin. Plan requirement: Free and above (within account limits).
When platform connections become available, you connect them through the Social Accounts page.
- From the sidebar, select Social Accounts (web:
/social-accounts). - Click Connect account or the + button next to the platform you want to add.
- A pop-up window opens and takes you to the platform's login and authorisation page. Log in with the account you want to connect โ this must be the account (or page admin account) for the social profile you want to manage.
- Review the permissions that 247BrandHQ is requesting (see below) and click Allow or Authorise.
- If the platform gives you a choice of pages, accounts, or profiles (for example, Facebook may ask which Pages to grant access to), select the ones you want to manage in 247BrandHQ.
- You are returned to 247BrandHQ. The connected account appears in your Social Accounts list with a status of Active.

What permissions you are granting
When you authorise 247BrandHQ during the OAuth flow, the platform will show you a list of permissions 247BrandHQ is requesting. These typically include:
- Publish content โ to post on your behalf.
- Read posts and metrics โ to display performance data in Analytics.
- Read and send messages/comments โ to populate the Inbox.
- Read your profile โ to display your name and avatar in 247BrandHQ.
247BrandHQ stores the OAuth access token (encrypted) to act on your behalf. Your social network password is never stored or seen by 247BrandHQ.
Connection statuses
Each connected account displays a status badge indicating the current state of the connection.
The connection is healthy. 247BrandHQ can publish and read data for this account.
Your access token has expired. The social platform has signed you out. Re-authorise the connection to restore access.
You revoked 247BrandHQ's access from within the social platform's settings. Re-authorise to reconnect.
A technical error occurred during the last publish or health check. Run a health check or reconnect the account.
The account was manually disconnected from within 247BrandHQ. Connect it again to reactivate.
Running a health check
Who can use this: Workspace Owner or Admin. Plan requirement: All plans.
247BrandHQ periodically checks the health of all connected accounts automatically. You can also trigger a manual health check at any time.
- Navigate to Social Accounts.
- Find the account you want to check.
- Click the three-dot menu (โฎ) on the account card.
- Select Check connection.
If the check finds an issue, the status is updated and you are prompted to take action (such as reconnecting).
Reconnecting an expired or revoked account
Who can use this: Workspace Owner or Admin. Plan requirement: All plans.
When an account shows a Token Expired or Permission Revoked status, you must reconnect it to restore publishing.
- Navigate to Social Accounts.
- Find the account with the expired or revoked status.
- Click Reconnect or open the three-dot menu and select Reconnect account.
- Complete the OAuth flow again (same steps as the initial connection).
- The status updates to Active.
Revoking permissions vs. disconnecting
Revoke permissions
Removes the stored OAuth token from 247BrandHQ. The connection shows as Permission Revoked. The social platform itself is unaffected โ you can re-authorise at any time. Use this to temporarily suspend 247BrandHQ's access to an account.
Disconnect permanently
Removes the account from your workspace entirely. Scheduled posts linked to this account are cancelled. This action is permanent and cannot be undone โ you would need to add the account again as a new connection.
