Generate captions, hashtags, rephrased content, and translations using 247BrandHQ's built-in AI tools.
What are AI credits?
AI credits are the currency for using AI-powered features in 247BrandHQ. Each time you use an AI tool — such as generating a caption or suggesting hashtags — a small number of credits is deducted from your monthly allowance.
Your credit allowance resets on your billing anniversary date each month. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month. You can purchase additional credit packs at any time from Settings → Billing.

What uses AI credits
The following AI actions consume credits from your monthly allowance:
Generate caption
Produces a new post caption based on your topic, tone, and platform.
Generate hashtags
Suggests a set of relevant hashtags for your post content.
Rephrase
Rewrites your caption in a different tone or style (e.g., formal, casual, witty).
Translate
Translates your caption into another language.
AI Studio generation
Full content generation in AI Studio, including long-form content and campaign strategies.
AI Autopilot post
Each post generated by Autopilot uses credits from your monthly balance.
Using AI in the Composer
Who can use this: Owner, Admin, Member. Plan requirement: Free and above (requires AI credits).
The Composer has an AI toolbar that gives you quick access to the most common AI tools while writing a post.
- Open the Composer.
- At the bottom of the caption field, look for the AI toolbar. It contains buttons for Generate, Hashtags, Rephrase, and Translate.
- Click any AI tool button. If it's your first time, a small dialog may ask for additional context (such as your topic, target audience, or desired tone).
- The AI generates its suggestion. The suggestion appears in a panel alongside your current caption.
- Click Use this to replace your current caption with the suggestion, or Regenerate to get a new suggestion, or Dismiss to discard it.

AI tools in detail
Generate
The Generate tool creates a fresh caption for your post. Before generating, you can optionally provide:
- Topic — what the post is about.
- Tone — for example, professional, friendly, humorous, inspirational.
- Platform — captions are optimised for the selected social platforms.
Hashtags
The Hashtags tool analyses your caption and suggests a set of relevant hashtags. You can select all or some of the suggestions and append them to your caption or first comment.
Rephrase
The Rephrase tool rewrites your existing caption while preserving the core message. Select a tone or style (for example, shorter, more formal, more casual, or punchier) and the AI rewrites the caption accordingly.
Translate
The Translate tool converts your caption to another language. Select the target language from the dropdown. The translation replaces or is placed alongside your original caption.
Supported languages: English, French, Portuguese, Swahili, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Amharic, Arabic, Zulu.

AI Studio
Who can use this: Owner, Admin, Member. Plan requirement: Starter and above.
AI Studio is a dedicated workspace for more advanced AI-powered content generation. Navigate to it from the sidebar (AI Studio) or at /ai-studio.
AI Studio has five tabs:
- Caption — generate a post caption from a topic, tone, platform, and optional extra context.
- Hashtags — generate up to 30 relevant hashtags from your caption.
- Rephrase — rewrite an existing caption in a different tone or style.
- Translate — translate your caption into another language (see supported languages below).
- Autopilot — configure and manage AI Autopilot for your workspace.

What happens when credits run out
When your AI credit balance reaches zero:
- The AI toolbar buttons in the Composer are disabled with a tooltip explaining that credits are exhausted.
- AI Studio generation features are disabled.
- Autopilot (if enabled) pauses automatically. It resumes when credits are replenished.
- A notification and banner in the dashboard alert you to the low/zero credit status.
Credits are replenished in two ways:
- Monthly reset — your full allowance is restored on your billing anniversary date.
- Top-up packs — purchase additional credits from Settings → Billing → Buy AI credits. Top-up credits do not expire and roll over month to month.
Viewing your credit balance and usage
You can check your current AI credit balance and usage history in two places:
- Dashboard — a credit balance indicator is displayed on the main dashboard.
- Settings → Billing → AI Credits — shows your full usage history, including which actions used credits and when, as well as any top-up packs you have purchased.
