Definitions of all key terms you will encounter while using 247BrandHQ.

A

Account: Your personal 247BrandHQ login — identified by your email address. A single account can belong to multiple workspaces, either as an owner or as an invited member.
AI Autopilot: A feature (Business plan and above) that automatically generates and schedules social media posts based on your brand settings and content goals. Autopilot can be set to create drafts only, require approval before publishing, or publish fully automatically.
AI Credits: The currency for using AI-powered features in 247BrandHQ. Each AI action (generate caption, hashtag suggestions, rephrase, translate) deducts credits from your monthly allowance. Credits reset on your billing anniversary date. Credits from purchased top-up packs do not expire.
AI Studio: A dedicated page (/ai-studio) for advanced AI content generation, including long-form content, campaign planning, brand voice definition, and AI Autopilot configuration.
Alt Text: Alternative text — a written description of an image attached to a post. Alt text is used by screen readers to describe images to visually impaired users and improves accessibility. In the Composer, alt text is sent to the social platform alongside your image.
Approval Workflow: A process (available on Business plans and above) where posts must be reviewed and approved by an approver before they can be published. Posts in an approval workflow are marked Pending Approval and can be approved or rejected by team members with the appropriate role.

Billing Source: The payment channel used for your 247BrandHQ subscription. Billing sources include web (Paystack or Flutterwave), Google Play, and Apple App Store. An account can only have one active billing source at a time.

Caption: The main text body of a social media post. In the Composer, the Caption field is required. It appears as the post text on all selected social platforms.
Client Reviewer: A member role for external clients or stakeholders. A Client Reviewer can see posts pending their approval and either approve or reject them. They cannot create, edit, or delete posts, or access any settings.
Composer: The post creation interface in 247BrandHQ. The Composer allows you to write a caption, add media, select target social accounts, and choose to save as draft, schedule, or publish now.
Connected Social Account: A social media profile or page that you have authorised 247BrandHQ to post to via OAuth. Connected accounts have a status (Active, Token Expired, Permission Revoked, Error, Disconnected).

Draft: A post that has been saved in 247BrandHQ but not yet published or scheduled. Drafts are never visible on social media. They can be edited and published at any time from Queue → Drafts.

Entitlement: The set of features and limits a user or workspace has access to based on their plan. For example, a Business plan entitlement includes approval workflows and up to 15 social accounts.

First Comment: An optional Composer field that posts a reply to your own post immediately after it goes live. Commonly used to add hashtags to Instagram posts without cluttering the main caption.

Label: An internal tag added to a post in the Composer. Labels are not visible on social media — they are used to organise and filter posts within 247BrandHQ's Queue and Analytics. Multiple labels can be added per post as comma-separated values.

Media Library: A centralised storage area within a workspace where you can upload, organise, and reuse images and videos. Files in the Media Library can be inserted into any post from the Composer.
Member Role: The permission level assigned to a team member in a workspace. The six roles are: Owner, Admin, Member, Viewer, Client Reviewer, and Billing Manager. Each role controls what the user can see and do.

OAuth: An industry-standard authorisation protocol used to connect social media accounts to third-party apps like 247BrandHQ. When you click Connect on a social platform, the OAuth flow redirects you to the platform's login page, where you grant 247BrandHQ permission to act on your behalf without sharing your password.
Organisation: The top-level entity in 247BrandHQ, created during onboarding. An organisation holds one or more workspaces and is associated with a billing account. The organisation name is typically your company or brand name.

Plan: The subscription tier that determines your feature access and usage limits. Plans in 247BrandHQ are: Free, Starter, Business, Professional, Agency, and Enterprise.

Queue: The post management area (/queue) where all your scheduled, draft, published, and failed posts are listed. The Queue provides list and calendar views and allows editing, rescheduling, retrying, and cancelling posts.

Schedule: The action of setting a future date and time for a post to be automatically published. Scheduled posts appear in the Queue with their scheduled time displayed. The time is interpreted in the workspace's configured time zone.
Social Connection Status: The current health state of a connected social account. Statuses include: Active (healthy), Token Expired (needs reconnection), Permission Revoked (permissions removed by user or platform), Error (unexpected failure), and Disconnected (removed from workspace).

Token: A short-lived access credential issued by a social media platform during the OAuth authorisation flow. 247BrandHQ stores the token (encrypted) to publish posts on your behalf. Tokens expire periodically and need to be refreshed by reconnecting the account.
Top-up Pack: An additional block of AI credits that you can purchase from Settings → Billing when your monthly credit allowance runs out. Top-up credits do not expire and accumulate across months.

Workspace: A container within your organisation for one brand or client. Each workspace has its own connected social accounts, post queue, media library, and team. Free plan accounts have one workspace. All paid plans allow unlimited workspaces.
