Selecting target social accounts
At the top of the Composer, you will see your connected social accounts listed as selectable tiles. Each tile shows the platform icon and account name.
- Tap or click each account you want to include in this post. Selected accounts are highlighted.
- You can select multiple accounts to publish the same post across several platforms at once.
- If you have no connected accounts, a prompt will appear directing you to Social Accounts to connect one first.
Writing a caption
The Caption field is required. This is the text body of your post.
- Click or tap inside the Caption text area.
- Type or paste your post text.
- A character counter at the bottom of the caption field shows you how many characters you have used. Each platform has different character limits — 247BrandHQ will show a warning if you exceed the limit for any selected platform.
Adding images and videos
You can attach images or videos to a post from two sources: your device (phone storage or computer file system) or your 247BrandHQ Media Library.
From your device
- In the Composer, click Add media or the camera/image icon in the media area.
- Web: A file picker opens. Select one or more files from your computer.
Mobile: A menu appears — choose Camera to take a new photo/video, or Gallery to pick from your device's storage. - The selected file(s) appear as thumbnails in the media area of the Composer.
- To remove a file, click or tap the × on its thumbnail.
From the Media Library
- Click Media Library in the media area of the Composer.
- Browse or search your uploaded files.
- Select the files you want to include and click Insert.
Optional fields
The Composer includes several optional fields that give you more control over your post. Expand the More options section to access them.
First comment
Some platforms (such as Instagram) allow a first comment to be posted immediately after the main post. This is useful for adding hashtags without cluttering the caption. Enter the text of the first comment in this field. It is posted automatically as the first reply to your post.
Alt text
Alt text (alternative text) describes an image for visually impaired users and screen readers. Providing alt text makes your content more accessible. Enter a brief description of the image in this field. It is sent to the platform alongside your media when supported.
Link URL
Add a URL to attach a link preview to your post (where supported by the platform). Paste the full URL (starting with https://) in this field.
Labels
Labels are internal tags for organising your posts in 247BrandHQ. They are not visible on social media. Enter labels as comma-separated words, for example: product launch, Q3 campaign, promo. Use labels to filter and find posts in your Queue and Analytics.
Publishing options
When your post is ready, use one of the three action buttons at the bottom of the Composer:
Save as Draft
Saves the post to your drafts. Nothing is published or scheduled. You can return to a draft at any time from Queue → Drafts, edit it, and then publish or schedule it.
Schedule for later
Opens a date and time picker. Select the date and time you want the post to go live. The time is interpreted in your workspace's time zone (configured during onboarding, or updated in Settings). Click Schedule to confirm. The post appears in your Queue as a scheduled post.
You can edit or cancel scheduled posts at any time before they publish.
Publish now
Immediately publishes the post to all selected social accounts. A success notification appears once publishing is complete. The post appears in your Queue under Published.

| Free | 10 |

What happens after publishing
When a post is published (immediately or at the scheduled time):
- A success notification appears in the app (web: notification bell, mobile: push notification).
- The post appears in your Queue → Published list.
- The post goes live on all selected social platforms simultaneously.
- Analytics data for the post begins populating within a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the platform.
If a post fails to publish (for example, because a social account token has expired), you receive an error notification and the post is marked as Failed in the Queue. You can retry the post after resolving the issue.
